Northampton, MA — While Boston may be better known for its squash, Western Massachusetts has an active squash scene of its own with interscholastic and community leagues, and several tournaments a year. WesternMass-Squash.com, a new website launched in November, is the region’s one-stop resource for squash enthusiasts of all levels.

The site, which is not affiliated with any colleges or preparatory schools, provides schedules, scores, and press releases about area squash programs. For community players, the site lists places to play and information about local leagues. Information about from local tournaments is also available, and the draw and results of the upcoming Pioneer Valley Squash Open, which will be held on November 12 and 13 at Mount Holyoke College, will be posted on the site.

In the future, the site will feature profiles of local players, articles about regional play, tips for drills and competition, and reports on Western Massachusetts players’ performances in national and international competitions.
