Prep School Round Up (December 2nd)

On Saturday, the Williston Northampton girls hosted the Berkshire School in a Western Mass showdown. The match between Alex Hancock and Aya Tanaka epitomized the match. The number twos played a five-game match with Williston’s Tanaka emerging victorious. Williston defeated Berkshire by a final score of 5-2.
The Berkshire School’s boys’ team opened the season with two matches on Saturday. Although the match against Greens Farms Academy was extremely close, the Bears lost 3-4.
In the Trinity-Pawling match, Berkshire’s Jose Rivera (#1) had numerous extended rallies thanks to his sensational footwork. However, Trinity-Pawling’s Bose Majumder prevailed in three games. Trinity-Pawling won 7-0.
Williston Northampton’s boys’ varsity started the season with a 6-1 victory over Canterbury.
Deerfield Academy’s boys and girls squads played Hotchkiss. The boys lost 3-4, while the girls won 4-3.
