New Haven, CT — Mount Holyoke College and Amherst College (W) spent the weekend in New Haven at the Yale Invitational. Amherst defeated twenty-seventh-ranked Connecticut College 7 – 2 and lost to Bowdoin 2 – 7. Abby Mantica (#4) and Emily O’Brien (#2) recorded victories in each match.

Mount Holyoke faced ninth-ranked Bates and eleventh-ranked Bowdoin. The Lyons lost 2 – 7 to Bates and 3 – 6 to Bowdoin. Mount Holyoke and Smith head to the Seven Sisters Tournament at Vassar next weekend.
