Northampton, MA — Mount Holyoke began the season by sweeping Smith (9-0) and Wellesley (8-1) at the Women’s Collegiate Team Championships. At the number one position, the Lyons’ first year Vidushi Gurunada made her debut and only lost four points on the day.

The championship marked Wellesley’s first competition since being reinstated as a varsity squad. Wellesley defeated Smith by a score of 8-1. Smith’s sole victory came at the number one position. Kate Whitesell defeated Sarah O’Dell in four games.
