Prep School Wrap Up (January 21st)
Published January 21, 2008 by Western Mass Squash | ArticlesWestern Mass — Despite the frigid temperatures in Western Mass, the Prep School squash season is heating up. Deerfield Academy sent its squads to the Choate Invitational last weekend. The boys’ and girls’ teams both beat Hotchkiss, but fell to Groton and host Choate.
The Williston Northampton boys emerged from four tight matches with three victories over Trinity Pawling, Canterbury, and Avon. In the TP match, Doug Thayers, Kevin Jung, J.J. Lee, and Stephen Schoder each earned victories. The Wildcats’ bottom half of the ladder stepped up in the Canterbury and Avon victories.
On Saturday, Millbrook defeated the Williston Northampton girls 4-3. Sara Fay, Becky Klauber, and Natsha Jones-Sikes won their individual matches for the Wildcats.
The Berkshire squads had a challenging week. The Berkshire boys visit Williston Northampton on Wednesday, January 23rd.
