Clinton, NY — On Saturday, the Mount Holyoke Lyons beat both the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats and the Hamilton Continentals.

Against Franklin & Marshall, the Lyons cruised to a 9-0 victory. In the number two and three matches, Mount Holyoke’s Vidushi Gurunada and Laura Robinson each only surrendered two points. Michelle Zagardo had the most dramatic match of the day.  She won her first two games against Franklin & Marshall’s Erin Jaffe; however, she lost the next two games.  In the fifth game, Zagardo rebounded to capture the match.

The Hamilton match was very close, but Mount Holyoke pulled out the 5-4 victory.  The Lyons’ top five players each earned victories to preserve the win.
