		<description><![CDATA[Princeton University won the 2009 Howe Cup, Women's National Team Championships, by defeating Harvard 5-4.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cambridge, MA &#8212; Princeton University won the <a title="2009 Howe Cup" href="http://www.squashtalk.com/collegesquash/HoweCup09.htm" target="_blank">2009 Howe Cup</a>, Women&#8217;s National Team Championships, by defeating Harvard 5-4.Â  This is the third consecutive team championship for Princeton.</p>
<p>On the Western Mass front, Standford defeated Williams 7-2 in the Howe Cup.Â  The Ephs finished in eighth place. Toby Eyre, Williams&#8217; number one player, defeated Lily Lorentzen in three games.</p>
<p>Mount Holyoke finished third in the Kurtz Cup and eleventh overall in the tournament.</p>
<p>Amherst captured the Walker Cup.Â  The Lord Jeffs finished seventeenth in the tournament.Â  Allie Dalgish, Hayley Milbourn, Caitlin Demkin, Melissa Moulton, Mimi Bell, and Megan Clower earned wins for Amherst in their 7-2 victory over Tufts.</p>
<p>Smith lost to Haverford by a score of 3-6.Â  The Pioneers finished the tournament in 30th place. Smith&#8217;s victories against Haverford came from Shanita Williams, Jess MacLeod, and Jasmine Wallas.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cambridge, MA &#8212; The 2009 Howe Cup, Women&#8217;s National Team Championships, continued on Saturday at Harvard.</p>
<p>In the Howe Cup, Yale defeated Williams by a score of 8-1. Toby Eyre earned the Ephs&#8217; sole victory.Â  On Sunday, Williams will face Stanford in the 7th-place match.</p>
<p>Earlier this season Mount Holyoke lost to Dartmouth 1-8; however, in today&#8217;s rematch the Lyons lost 4-5. Pamela Ackermann, Vidushi Gurunada, Menusha Hettarachchi, and 	Laurian Lue Yen earned victories for Mount Holyoke. Tomorrow, Mount Holyoke will face Bowdoin in the 11th-place match.</p>
<p>Amherst continued its winning streak in the Walker Cup.Â  The Lord Jeffs advanced to the 17th-place match by beating Welesyan 6-3. Amherst will face Tufts on Sunday.</p>
<p>Smith easily defeated Colgate by a score of 8-1. Earning three game victories for the Pioneers were Shanita Williams, Jess MacLeod, Meg Oliverio, Jaye Cooke, Jasmine Wallas, and Jeanne Poon.Â  Smith is looking to earn the 29th spot in the tournament with a victory over Haverford.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Princeton, NJ â€” On the final day of the <a href="http://www.squashtalk.com/collegesquash/HoweCup08.htm" target="_blank">2008 Womenâ€™s National Team Championships (Howe Cup)</a>, Williams defeated Cornell to capture the Kurtz Cup (B Division). Toby Eyre, Williams&#8217; number one player, defeated Cornell&#8217;s Rachel Wagner in three games. The Ephs finished ninth in the tournament overall.</p>
<p>Also in the Kurtz Cup, Mount Holyoke defeated Bates, 5-4, to finish in eleventh place. The Lyons got victories from Pam Anckermann, Vidushi Gurunana, Menusha Hettiarachchi, Laura Robinson, and Elizabeth Wright.</p>
<p>In Walker Cup action, Amherst defeated William Smith, 9-0.</p>
<p>Smith College lost 4-5 to Colgate in the Epps Cup.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Princeton, NJ &#8212; On the second day of the <a href="http://www.squashtalk.com/collegesquash/HoweCup08.htm" target="_blank">2008 Women&#8217;s National Team Championship (Howe Cup)</a>, Western Mass teams had mixed results.  Williams College advanced to the Kurtz Cup finals with a 9-0 victory over Bates.  The Ephs will take on Cornell in the finals on Sunday.</p>
<p>Also in Kurtz Cup action, Mount Holyoke faced Cornell.  The Lyon&#8217;s number one player Pam Anckermann recorded her team&#8217;s sole victory of the day.  Mount Holyoke will face Bates in the 10-11 playoff on Sunday.</p>
<p>In the Walker Cup, Amherst lost a 5-4 match to Vassar.  Longmeadow native and Vassar number five Anna Licht recorded a four-game victory over Amherst&#8217;s Melissa Moulton. Amherst will face William Smith on Sunday.</p>
<p>Smith lost 8-1 to Franklin and Marshall in the Epps Cup.  Smith&#8217;s number one Kate Whitesell won the Pioneers&#8217; sole individual victory. On Sunday, Smith will play Colgate.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Princeton, NJ &#8212; On Friday, the first day of the <a href="http://www.squashtalk.com/collegesquash/HoweCup08.htm" target="_blank">2008 Womenâ€™s National Team Championships (Howe Cup)</a> was played at Princeton University. Included in the 38 competing teams are Amherst, Mount Holyoke, Smith, and Williams.</p>
<p>In the Kurtz Cup (B Division), Williams and Mount Holyoke may be on a collision course for match in the finals.  Each team won its opening match. Williams defeated Tufts, 9-0, and Mount Holyoke defeated Colby, 7-2.  On Saturday, Williams will face Bates and Mount Holyoke will have a rematch with Cornell.</p>
<p>Amherst defeated Northeastern in the opening round of the Walker Cup (C Division). The Lord Jeffs&#8217; second through ninth players earned the squad&#8217;s victories. Amherst and Vassar will play on Saturday.</p>
<p>In Epps Cup (D Division) action, Wesleyan beat Smith 8-1.  At the number one position, Wesleyan&#8217;s Casey Simchik defeated Smith&#8217;s senior captain Kate Whitesell in a close five-game match. Smith&#8217;s senior Sara Smyth recorded her first career victory by beating Gwynne Hunter in three games. On Saturday, Smith will face Franklin and Marshall.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Today, the College Squash Association published the draws for the 2008 Women's National Team Championships (Howe Cup) at Princeton University.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Western Mass &#8212; Today, the College Squash Association published the draws for the <a href="http://www.squashtalk.com/collegesquash/HoweCup08.htm" target="_blank">2008 Women&#8217;s National Team Championships (Howe Cup)</a> at Princeton University. Among the 38 teams competing on February 22nd &#8211; 24th are Amherst, Mount Holyoke, Smith, and Williams.</p>
<p>The majority of Western Mass squads will be competing for the Kurtz Cup (B draw). On Friday at 5 PM, ninth-seeded Williams will face sixteenth-seeded Amherst in the opening round of the tournament.  Also at 5 PM, eleventh-seeded Mount Holyoke will face fourteenth-seeded Colby.</p>
<p>Smith will compete in the Epps Cups (D draw). The thirty-second seeded team will face twenty-fourth seeded Wesleyan at 9:30 AM on Friday morning.</p>
<p>Best of luck to the four Western Mass squads.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>New Haven, CT &#8212; Yesterday the <a href="http://www.squashtalk.com/collegesquash/HoweCup07.htm" target="_blank">2007 Women&#8217;s National Team Championship</a> concluded.  The four Western Mass squads all had solid showings.</p>
<p>In the Howe Cup (A Division), Williams lost its opening match to the University of Pennsylvania.  The Eph&#8217;s number one player, Toby Eyre, lost to Kristin Lange in three games.  Lange is on the cover of February issue of <a href="http://www.squashmagazine.com" target="_blank">Squash Magazine</a> for winning the US Junior Open Under 19 division.</p>
<p>Williams rebounded to beat Dartmouth 5-4. This was the Ephs first win against Dartmouth in six years! Toby Eyre (#1), Ashley Eyre (#2), Kate Whipple (#3), Jennifer Coxe (#4), and Ridhima Raina (#9) recorded the team&#8217;s victories. Raina was the sole victor in Williams 1-8 loss to Trinity.  The team finished the tournament in sixth place. <p>Mount Holyoke lost to Stanford 3-6 in the opening round of the Kurtz Cup (B Division).  The following day the team beat Hamilton 6-3 to make it to the consolation finals, where they won 6-3 over Colby. The Lyons conclude the year in thirteenth place, which is Mount Holyoke&#8217;s best finish ever. <p>Pam Ankermann (#1), Menusha Hettiarachchi (#2), and Laura Robinson (#4) went undefeated in team play for the season. Ankermann and Hettiarachchi  qualified for the individual nationals, which will  be held in two weeks at the University of Pennsylvania.</p>
<p>In the Walker Cup (C Division), Amherst beat Connecticut College 9-0 and Franklin and Marshall 8-1 to cruise into the division finals.  William Smith was too much for the Jeffs in the finals and beat Amherst 6-3. The team finished in eighteenth place. The Jeffs&#8217; Caroline Shannon (#1) and Emily O&#8217;Brien (#2) each went undefeated during the tournament.</p>
<p>Smith competed in the Epps Cup (D Division).   After defeating Haverford 5-4 in their opening match, the Pionneers lost to Wesleyan  2-7.  In their final match, Smith lost to George Washington 1-8.  The Pioneers finished in twenty-eighth place.  Talia Williams (#3) won all of her matches at the tournament, including a five-game match against George Washington&#8217;s Cheslea Mouta. 		<description><![CDATA[Today the draws for the 2007 Women's Nationals were announced by the College Squash Association.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Western Mass &#8212; Today the draws for the <a href="http://www.squashtalk.com/collegesquash/HoweCup07.htm" target="_blank">2007 Women&#8217;s Nationals</a> were announced by the College Squash Association.  The tournament features the thirty-two college squash teams and is divided into four divisions (four cups). There is a Western Mass team in each of the divisions.</p>
<p>In the Howe Cup (A Division, top eight seeds), Williams is seeded seventh and will begin play on Friday at 5:30 against the University of Pennsylvannia.</p>
<p>In the Kurtz Cup (B Division, teams nine through sixteen), Mount Holyoke is seeded thirteenth.  On Friday at 3 PM, the Lyons will open with twelfth-seeded Standford.  Lily Lorentzen, Standford&#8217;s number one and last year&#8217;s top player in the nation, will be tough competition for Mount Holyoke&#8217;s Pam Anckermann.</p>
<p>Amherst is competing in the Walker Cup (C Division, teams seventeen through twenty-four).  The Jeffs are seeded eighteenth and will face Connecticut College at 3 PM on Friday.  Wellesley is seeded twenty-second and is matched up with Franklin and Marshall at 10 AM on Friday.</p>
<p>In the Epps Cup (D Division, teams twenty-five through thirty-two), Smith is seeded twenty-eighth.  The Pioneers open with a match against Haverford at 3 PM on Friday.</p>
