Boston, MA — This morning, Rochester and Williams battled to gain the eighth seed in the 2008 Team Championship. On paper, Rochester appeared to a stronger team than Williams and they did prevail in the top four ladder matches. However, Williams’ Morgan Phillips (#6), Cameron Henry (#7), Benard Yaros (#8), and Christian Henze (#9) won their matches. With the teams tied at four, Will Gruner lost the first two games in the number five match. Gruner’s dramtic comeback cemented Williams’ 5-4 victory and advanced his squad to the Potter Cup (A draw).
