Prep School Wrap Up (February 18th)

Western Mass — With the New England tournaments coming up on February 22nd, the prep school squash season is winding down. As a reminder, the class B division for the boy’s New England Interscholastic Squash Championships will be played at Deerfield Academy on February 22nd - 24th. The class B division will include Williston Northampton and Berkshire, while Deerfield will travel to Groton for the class A division.

Due to the weather, Berkshire’s and Deerfield’s boys were the only two squads competing on Wednesday. Berkshire lost to Canterbury, while Deerfield lost to Belmont Hill.

On Saturday, the Berkshire squads returned to winning form by beating Kent. The Bears got victories from Calvin Yoon, Colin Chang, Jason Shrubb, Jules Clark, Dudley Talbot, and Will Hearty.

Also on Saturday, Exeter’s girls traveled to Deerfield for the first time ever. Deerfield celebrated the occasion with a 5-2 victory. Deerfield’s victories came from Kelly Mulrow, Maggie Hines, Nina Kempner, Seldy Gray and Lilly Havens.

Taft @ Deerfield (B), 2-5

Pomfret @ Williston Northampton (G), Cancelled

Saturday, February 16th:
Kent @ Berkshire (B), 1-6
Deerfield (B) @ Belmont Hill, 0-7
Exeter @ Deerfield (G), 2-5
Williston Northampton (B) @ Loomis, 2-5
Choate @ Williston Northampton (G), 1-6
