2008 CSA Individual Championships - Sunday

Annapolis, MD — The 2008 College Squash Association’s Individual Championships concluded today. In Western Mass action, Williams’ Will Gruner lost in five games to Navy’s Allan Lutz in the Mallory Cup (Men’s B) Consolation finals. In the Holleran Cup Second Consolation semifinals, Mount Holyoke’s Laura Robinson lost to Dartmouth’s Hannah Conant in three games. Conant went on to win the second consolation.

Below are the winners of each draw and Western Mass Results.

Ramsay Cup (Women’s A):

  • Main - Miranda Ranieri (Yale) def. Kristen Lange (Pennsylvania), 10-8, 9-5, 5-9, 9-6
  • Consolation - Sarah Toomey (Yale) def. Jackie Moss (Princeton), 9-4, 9-3, 1-9, 9-6
  • 2nd Consolation - Lily Lorentzen (Stanford) def. Ashley Clackson (Trinity), 9-6, 9-0, 9-5

Holleran Cup (Women’s B):

  • Main - Johanna Snyder (Harvard) def. Margaret Kent (Princeton), 10-9, 5-9, 10-9, 9-2
  • Consolation - Sally Hatfield (Middlebury) vs. Rachael Rayfield (GWU), NA
  • 2nd Consolation - Hannah Conant (Dartmouth) def. Charlene Neo (Harvard), 9-5, 4-9, 9-7, 9-7

Potter Cup (Men’s A):

  • Main - Baset Chaudhry (Trinity) def. Gustav Detter (Trinity), 9-3, 10-8, 7-9, 9-6
  • Consolation - Santiago Imberton (Princeton) vs. Randy Lim (Trinity), NA
  • 2nd Consolation - Andres Vargas (Trinity) def. Ricardo Weisskopf (Bates), 9-6, 10-8, 9-6

Mallory Cup (Men’s B):

  • Main - Rushabh Vora (Trinity) def. Richard Hill (Harvard), 9-8,5-9, 2-9, 9-3, 9-7
  • Consolation - Allan Lutz (Navy) def. Will Gruner (Williams), 9-3, 4-9, 10-8, 9-5, 9-1
  • 2nd Consolation - Peter Sopher (Princeton) def. Jeffrey Sawin (Navy), 10-8, 9-3, 9-0
