2008 CSA Individual Championships - Friday

The College Squash Association’s Individual Championships began today. The Naval Academy is serving as this year’s host school. The women have two divisions - Ramsay Cup (A draw) and Holleran Cup (B draw). The men also have two divisions - Mallory Cup (A draw) and Potter Cup (B draw).



Girls’ New England Interscholastic Squash Championships Results

Western Mass — Last weekend, the Girls’ New England Interscholastic Squash Championships were held. The Championships were divided into A, B, and C classes. The class “A” was held at Choate Rosemary Hall, the class “B” was held at Brooks, and the class “C” was held at Miss Porter’s.

Boy’s New England Interscholastic Squash Championships Results

Western Mass — The results from the 55th annual Boys’ New England Interscholastic Squash Championships have been compiled. In the class “A” tournament, Deerfield finished in 15th place. In the class “B” tournament, Williston Northampton finished 8th and Berkshire finished 13th.

2008 Women’s National Team Championships (Howe Cup) - Sunday

Princeton, NJ — On the final day of the 2008 Women’s National Team Championships (Howe Cup), Williams defeated Cornell to capture the Kurtz Cup (B Division). Toby Eyre, Williams’ number one player, defeated Cornell’s Rachel Wagner in three games. The Ephs finished ninth in the tournament overall.

Princeton, NJ — On the second day of the 2008 Women’s National Team Championship (Howe Cup), Western Mass teams had mixed results. Williams College advanced to the Kurtz Cup finals with a 9-0 victory over Bates. The Ephs will take on Cornell in the finals on Sunday.

Deerfield, MA — This weekend, Deerfield Academy is hosting the Boy’s New England Interscholastic Squash Championships “B” tournament. The event is taking place in Deerfield Academy’s brand-new Robert M. Dewey, Jr. Squash facility, which includes ten international courts.

Prep School Wrap Up (February 21st)

Western Mass — The prep school regular season ended on Wednesday. Williston Northampton’s boys closed out the year with victories over Pomfret and Kingswood Oxford. The squad finished the year with an 11-4 record, the best in recent history for the team.

Boston, MA — On the final day of the 2008 Men’s National Team Championships, Williams and Amherst each won their matches. In the Potter Division, Williams edged Dartmouth, 5-4, to capture seventh place in the tournament.

Senior Day at Smith
