Western Mass Squash

Northampton, MA — Tim Bacon, the Smith College squash coach, is currently recovering from hip surgery.  At the recent Women’s College Squash Championships, Bacon was able to watch his players live via Skype, an Internet phone and video service. Below is his recent interview with Skype about the experience.

Annapolis, MD — We found this video on YouTube and decided to post it.  We don’t know that much about this video, but it appears that a group from the Great Lakes scrimmaged the Naval Academy Squash team.

New York, NY — At the 2008 Tournament of Champions at Grand Central Station in New York City, Gregory Gaultier (France) and John White (Scotland) played an incredible five-game semi final match.  Below is a video from the end of the fourth game.

Western Mass — Above is a video from the 2007 College Squash Association Men’s Team Championships.  The Williams College men’s team defeated the University of Western Ontario 5-4 in an exciting match.

Western Mass — Last October, the Smith College squash team traveled to Poughkeepsie, NY, to watch the Vassar Class of 1932 Squash Open. Above is Smith College coach Tim Bacon’s video of the finals between Nathalie Grainger and Latasha Khan.

Western Mass — At the 2006 Canadian Squash Championship, Jonathan Power and Shahier Razik played in the finals. Razik won the tournament in four games. Above is a video of game one.
