The 2008 College Squash Association’s Individual Championships concluded today. In Western Mass action, Williams’ Will Gruner lost in five games to Navy’s Allan Lutz in the Mallory Cup (Men’s B) Consolation finals.

The College Squash Association’s Individual Championships continued today. In the round of 16 of the Holleran Cup Consolation draw, Smith’s Kate Whitesell defeated Wellesley’s Sarah Odell in five games.



2008 CSA Individual Championships - Friday

The College Squash Association’s Individual Championships began today. The Naval Academy is serving as this year’s host school. The women have two divisions - Ramsay Cup (A draw) and Holleran Cup (B draw). The men also have two divisions - Mallory Cup (A draw) and Potter Cup (B draw).



2008 Men’s National Team Championships - Sunday

Boston, MA — On the final day of the 2008 Men’s National Team Championships, Williams and Amherst each won their matches. In the Potter Division, Williams edged Dartmouth, 5-4, to capture seventh place in the tournament.
In the Hoehn Division, Amherst beat Franklin and Marshall, 6-3. The Lord Jeffs finished in fifteenth place.

Boston, MA — On the second day of the 2008 Men’s National Team Championships, Western Mass teams had challenging matches. In the Potter Division, the University of Western Ontario beat Williams, 5-4. Williams will face Dartmouth in the 7-8 playoff on Sunday.

2008 Little Three Championships

Amherst, MA — On Saturday, Amherst College hosted Wesleyan and Williams for the annual Little Three Championship. Dating back to 1905, the rivalry between these three schools is considered the oldest conference rivalry in college athletics.
Williams won won both the men’s and women’s events by going undefeated. Amherst finished second by defeating Wesleyan.

Hartford, CT — This weekend, Trinity College hosted the annual New England Small College Athletic Conference Squash Championships. The Amherst and Williams squads participated in the event.
